Robert has received support from two young Ely based talented singers, Charlie and Molly, who wanted to do something special to help Lisa’s fund. With help from Molly’s father Mark Armstrong and Charlie’s Mum Alison O’Connor, plus many months of hard work, the talented duo have released their debut album, ‘Wish you were here’. The 10 track CD features an eclectic mix of Charlie and Molly’s versions of songs by Stevie Wonder, The Pogues, Norah Jones , Pink Floyd and much more and it is now available to purchase. It would make a great Christmas present.

A huge thankyou goes to Ruth and Chris who both went the extra mile on the day helping out. You are both stars, said Robert. And of course thank you to all who gave so generously.

Premier Travel Ely staged another great fundraising day for Lisa’s Fund recently. A great raffle supplied by the local shopkeepers brought in lots of people buying raffle tickets, said Robert Barnes, founder of Lisa’s Fund. Prizes included a day at the races in Newmarket and also a £50 Premier Travel voucher.
Robert who attended the event said all the staff worked very hard to sell as many holidays as they could, knowing Lisa’s Fund would benefit with a 1% commission for every holiday sold on the day.
All the money raised is donated to The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. Robert added, ‘The New Hospice build starts in the spring of 2015, we need all the finance we can raise right now’.
Premier Travel managed to raise £374 on the day for Lisa’s Fund.
