Another great weekend for Lisa’s Fund started on Friday evening with a Christmas Fair at St. Andrews Church Soham. Saturday saw us at The Mill Road Winter Fair in Cambridge, Robert Barnes Founder of Lisa’s Fund said the crowds where huge and the people very keen to spend, we had a great time and a fun time for all of us.
Sunday afternoon saw us at The Cutter in Ely with Santa Clause arriving on his sleigh before distributing presents and goodie bags to the children, they had lots of things to tell him said Robert, I think he managed to remember everyones requests before flying back to Lapland. Santa made one special request, please leave lots of reindeer food for the reindeers as they have a long, long journey on Christmas Eve.
Sunday evening took Lisa’s Fund to the Townhouse Pub in Market Street, Ely for their Christmas quiz and raffle. ‘This has always been a firm favourite for me’, said Robert, ‘the Townhouse came on board soon after I launched Lisa’s fund and they have managed to raise hundreds of pounds, they are a great crowd they simply want to help.’
