Apple Fest Fund Raising Update October 20th November 2013

The Apple Festival on the Palace Green in Ely was another great success for Lisa’s Fund with huge crowds flocking from all parts of the county, commented Robert Barnes.

We had lots of different things happening on the stall including selling apple chutney. apple jelly, lots of jam and hand knitted babies clothes. We also had a Lucky Dip Tombola a firm favourite with young and old, and our famous pink wheelbarrow full of lots of goodies for the whole family.

A very big thank you to GJL Animal Feeds from Fakenham Norfolk for providing the wheel barrow at a knock down price, and Sainsbury’s Ely for most of the apple goodies in the wheel barrow. The winning Ticket was drawn by Tracy Harding (ECDC.) The winner was a young man named Charlie From Kings Lynn. He was delighted with his prize its great said his mum Kate.

Lisa’s fund raised a staggering £519.17 which now brings the total to £84,000. I would like to say a big thank you both to all the volunteer’s for helping, said Robert, and for those people who bought goods or took part on the day.
